A TANGLED TALE
   Matt told Mike
     that he had
     a bunny,
     an ant farm,
     eight mice,
     and that he had
     a cat named Hattie.

     Mike told Pat
     that Matt had
     a bunny,
     an Aunt* Fern,
     eight mice,
     and that Matt had
     a cat named Hattie.

     Pat told Jan
     that Matt had
     a funny Aunt* Fern,
     eight mice,
     and that Matt had
     a cat named Hattie.

     Jan told Ann,
     that Matt had
     a funny Aunt* Fern
     who ate Matt's mice,
     and that Matt had
     a cat named Hattie

     Ann told Jim,
     that Matt had
     a funny Aunt*Fern
     who ate Matt's mice
     and that she blamed
     his cat, Hat.

     Jim told Tim,
     that Matt had
     a funny Aunt* Fern,
     who sat on his hat,
     while eating eight mice
     and that she blamed it,
     on Matt's cat.

* this works best if aunt is pronounced ant.
