God's Promise In The Rainbow When I first see a rainbow high, splashed across the sky in mist and sun, I think of the promise that God made, to every creature, to every one. God sent the rainbow to remind all, that He would never flood earth again. And he sent His promise in the clouds, in the mist and sun, right after the rain. Now beyond the rainbow I see, the eyes of Jesus in the blue. And His Sacred Heart and Blood in the scarlet ,deep and true. And purple in the regal robe, worn that day by the King of Kings. And I see respect for life in green, as a symbol of all living things. And yellow for His Eternal Light, in that sun beyond all tomorrows. And I see Mary in indigo blue, remembering her joys and sorrows.. When I look skyward to the rainbow, at its color, its joy and harmony, I see God's promise up there so high, in His signature, there for all to see. copyright 2000 by Roland Ricker |
