A Mother Never Really Leaves A mother's our sun and our moon, from dawn til dusk gives golden light, then in evening turns on her silver, to guide us safely through the night. A mother's our earth and our sky, why we look up, feet on the ground, and stay secured, afoot and sure, no matter the storms that come around She's our rivers and our seas, the water of life that ever flows. From leaves of grass to tallest trees, ever there, in the green that grows. In our seasons, starting with spring, amid all the sweet songs we hear. As with the moon, sun, earth and sky, a mother is constant ,ever so near. Thus, a mother never truly leaves, but is here always right near by. Forever beside her children, watching them with her loving eyes. copyright 2000 by Roland Ricker |
