God Will Deliver Us From Evil

We live in a nation
which is of Him, God above,
and of all the nations,
the one most guided by His love.

It was His divine hand,
which did write our very first page,
and He'll continue our story,
as He has in each and every age.

We have always righted wrongs,
both from within and without,
and to guard God's gift of freedom,
is still the first business we're about.

For freedom's so treasured by God,
that He granted man free will,
freeing man to choose what's good,
but alas, as well, to choose evil.

An evil of unmatched enormity
was delivered by unholy foes,
so threatened by the force of freedom,
they dealt their hate driven blows.

Take heart, God will deliver us,
from those mocking Him by their deeds,
and He'll ensure that we triumph
over their evil, and the world is freed.
