| I Target You, But With Loving Eyes How blessed am I to watch you three, you, gentle doe and your fine fawns, as out of your forest haven, you join me on this peaceful morn. Tread safely on this land that's ours, for this green land is yours as well. I target you, but with loving eyes, and while with me, in peace you dwell. Come feast on our leaves and our grass, and our apples fallen on the ground. Eat all that you wish fearlessly, of the rich harvest that you have found. For I enjoy a rich harvest, too, in the joyful feast you bring to me, for the sight of you so fills my heart, seeing you walk here, safe and free. copyright 2001 Roland Ricker midi is Debussey's "L'apres midi D'une Faune" |
