Little Sister of Mine Little sister of mine, how long ago seems yesterday, when I was mother hen, fussing over you in every way. I'd comb and brush your hair, and clean smudges from your face, put band aids on your cuts, and take you with me, every place. You were my little tag along, and how I loved having you near, walking there beside me, Sis, as our days stretched into years. And in the beginning, dear, it was me who was there for you. But since then, think of all the times, you were the one, to see me through. Just think of all our laughs, how much they outweighed our tears, and how great the assurance of love, that has lasted all these years. And the road we walk down together, is a road that will never end, for you're not only my precious sister, you are my first, and my best friend. copyright 2001 Roland Ricker midi is "The Greatest Love of All" |
