| WE ONLY FIGHT THE WARS We only fight the wars the politicians make. So, don't blame us, folks, when they make a mistake. They start the raging fires, we men and women put out, and we do it quietly, while they rant on and shout. We are sent by them to places where they would never go, far away from those we love, and for just what, heaven only knows. And yet we do what we've always done, to protect what and whom we hold dear, we risk our precious lives over there, while they wage new ones safely over here. Then when some of us get back, we must fight to receive our fair share, of the basic things promised us, from those who sent us over there.
