But what can we do, as college students, with little money and very little time? How can we help? SO often this is the question I ask myself. And so many times I feel helpless and the little bit that I am doing will not help at all. It is, however, the little things that matter.
What can we do?
We can say a little prayer each day for and unborn child and a pregnant mother. We can be pro-life in our conversations and instead of walking away we can confront the truth. We can love these women and help them in any way possible. We can pray in front of the clinics or volunteer at pregnancy help centers. We can visit the elderly at nursing homes and pray for those in hospices. We can unite as pro-lifers on this campus and make a statement defending life, and support those who are raising children in rough financial situations.
So I challenge you and encourage you to unite on Marquette’s campus, where life is not always supported. I encourage you to come to some events, to give a couple hours of your time and to voice your input, so that maybe, just maybe, we can leave an imprint on just one person. And if you can’t commit that time, say a little prayer for families, for life. What we do does matter, from the shortest prayer to the biggest movement.
