Book 51-The Absolute

<Show-off.>
<Hey, I'm a hawk.  I only get so many hobbies, and perfecting my Red-Tail
Spiral of Death happens to be my favorite.>
--Marco, Tobias

"I feel like Britney Spears."
"Unfortunately for me, you don't look like her."
--Tobias, Marco

"So where did you leave the tank?"
Tobias and I looked at each other.
"...The tank.  Well, you know Chapman's house?  Nice two-story?"
"How many stories is it now?"
"Uh...zero?  But the back deck will give Chapman a nice supply of
firewood this winter.  It's already piled up for him."
"Too bad he doesn't have a fireplace anymore."
--Jake, Marco, Tobias

"If anybody can handle a politician, it's Marco."
"...Be cool?  Handle this?  Marco?  We are in serious trouble."
--Jake, Rachel

<The quack's not the problem.  What I'd really like to know is, who thought up this leg/tail arrangement?  Look at my butt.>
<Uh, thanks, Tobias.  I think I'll pass.>
<Seriously...My legs are so far apart my whole back end bobs up and down every time I take a step.  Up and down.  Side to side.  LIke a...like a...>
<Like a duck?>
<Yeah.  It's humiliating.>  He swept a wing over his flat duck beak.  <And this is just wrong.>
--<Tobias, you've been a hawk way too long.>
--Tobias, Marco

"We can use our fly morphs.  Nobody'll notice us."
<Perfect.  If we were looking for garbage cans or bathrooms.  It's just a guess, but I don't think he'll be spending large amounts of time in either of those places.  We could fly around that mausoleum all day
and never run into him.>
<Or recognize him if we did.>
Okay.  We deserved that shot.
--Marco, Tobias, Ax

"Uh-ur-ulph."
<Did you say something, Marco?>
"Uh-ur-ulph.  UH.  UR.  ULPH!"
Ax looked at me and tilted his head.  <I believe what Marco is trying to tell us is that while he is extremely happy to see us, he enjoys being trussed up, and could we please not remove the filthy satchel from his mouth, as he finds it quite tasty.>
<Yeah, that's what I thought he said.>
"Uh-uhl-ur-ULUPH!"
<Okay, okay.  Don't get your skirt in a wad.>
--Marco, Tobias, Ax
