THINGS WE CAN
LEARN FROM A DOG

Never pass up the opportunity to
go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air
and the wind in your face to
be pure ecstasy.

When loved ones come home, always
run to greet them.

When it is in your best interest,
practice obedience.

Let others know when they have
invaded your territory.

Take naps and stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily - or if
your health doesn't allow a romp,
find a little child to watch.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be
something you are not

If what you want lies
buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad
day, be silent, sit close by
and nuzzle them gently.

Avoid biting when a
simple growl will do.

When you are happy, dance
around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you are scolded,
don't buy into the guilt thing
and pout - go back and make friends.

Delight in the simple joy of a long
walk (or even some deep breaths near an
open window if walking is not possible).

Love unconditionally.

The following is some totally useless
information about Pet Owners but it
is cute. I know I do a few.

How many apply to you?

A survey of pet owners in the US and
Canada reveals that:

63% say "I love you" at least once
daily to their pet.

78% talk to their pet in
a different voice.

90% would not date someone who
wasn't fond of their pet.

59% celebrate their pet's
birthday of these, 38% give
wrapped gifts.

83% refer to themselves as
their pet's mom or dad.

68% travel with their pet.

36% have named someone as the future
guardian of their pet.

46% have sent a greeting card "from
the dog or cat".

52% are better at remembering the
names of neighbour pets than
human neighbours.
