As the adopting father for all members therein IFA, on behalf of the entire family of all my daughters and sons, please afford me this opportunity to welcome you to the IFA website. I created IFA in 1972 for those in need of a family by virtue of a law that permits the adoption of an adult by another adult. Although an option, such adoption doesn't require the person being adopted to change their last name to that of the adopting father. Approximately 20% of those adopted chose to have their names changed to Marshall. Since such adoptions are among adults, it doesn't affect the relationship between the person being adopted and their natural parents. In fact, in one instance I adopted both a mother (Carol) and her adult son (Kenny) which although created my being the father to both, did not affect their mother and son relationship.
My adoptees are indeed my life and everything that life means to me. To my knowledge, IFA is the only such legally created independent family entity in the worl. Inasmuch as I don't adopt just anyone and everyone, my position is there is allways room for one more in this family of many nationalities. Our troubled world needs more love and care for each other which is but one objective of IFA.
