Austin is plagued with many misfortunes: being considered inferior to his brother Terry, being enslaved and mentally humiliated by Alexis, and being punished by Yang because of breaking House Rule Number Three (no heterosexual or homosexual partners). Austin has an unhealthy pallor, which is probably due to his overindulgence in caffeine and staring at a computer screen in a dark room for an extended amount of time. He is the resident Colberg in Marshall's team; no team can function without a Colberg.
