Elrond

Elrond is one of the Peredhil. He was the son of Elwing,granddaughter of Dior and Nimloth, and Earendil the mariner and brother of Elros, a great king of men. He was born in Arvernien. He and his brother where captured by the sons of Feanor. They where befriended by Malgor. He and his brother were given a choice by the Valar. The choice was to become Elven, human, or dwarven. Elrond choose to become an Elf, the first born. He became Elrond Half-elven. Elrond was Gil-galad's herald. Gil-galad gave Elrond Vilya, the greatest of the three rings. He married Celebrian, daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn. Their children were Elladan, Elrohir, and Arwen. At the end of the Third Age Elrond departed over the Sea with the Last Riding of the Keepers of the Rings.
