Gimli

Gimli is the son of Gloin or Durin's line. Gloin was born in 2879 of the Third Age. In 3018 Gimli accompanied his father to Rivendell. There he was chosen to be one of the Nine Companions. He was the first dwarf to enter Lorien since the time of Durin. After the Breaking of the Fellowship he travelled with Legolas and Aragorn. They fought at Helm's Deep, and travelled through the Paths of the Dead. Where they eventually came to fight at the Pelennor Fields outside of Morannon. And they fought at Minas Tirith.

When the War of the Ring was over, Gimli brought in Dwarves from Erebor of Rohan, where he became the Lord of the Glittering Caves. At Minas Tirith they forged new doors made out og steal and mithril. Gimli sailed over the sea with Legolas. Gimli was known ans Elf-friend and Lock-bearer because of the lock of hair Galadriel gave him. Know one knows if he dead or not, but since he sailed with Legolas he probably came to Valinor.
