| Time to expand your horizons! Oh, not just you. Nearly all of us are pretty ignorant about the vast variety of belief systems in the world, about how our mind and spirit work, sometimes even about the faith we ourselves espouse. Here are some places I go to prevent brain atrophy: BeliefNet houses a huge store of information about many different faith traditions, along with discussion groups, updates on related news and politics, and blogs. If numbers are your thing, the ARDA (Association of Religious Data Archives) is a great clearinghouse for statistics about religion, drawn from the US census and a variety of academic research. Start at the Wikipedia Mind and Brain Portal for anything pertaining to the science or philosophy of the mind and brain. (More to come soon.)
