| Hello, my name is Almira. I am new to Brisbane and I ejoy walking in the city. I am at the Central Railway Station now. I am going down Edward St.. Somewhere here there should be a cake shop. here is jetset and yes, here is the cake shop! I am going in... Oh, I bought this lovely fruitcake. i will eat it later, somewhere in the park. Maybe I will go down Adelaid St. to Anzac Squere... Yes, here I am on Anzac Squere. And there it is - a nice, quiet shady place where I can eat my fruitcake... I ate my cake. I am now walking down Adelaide St. to the first set of lights. I need to turn left on Creec St. and go to the next set of lights. Here on the corner on my right is St. Andrew's Anglican Church. I shall go in and have a look. I don't know how Anglican Church looks like inside. Oh, it is so quiet. I will sit peacefullt here for a moment. ... Now I need to go... I am walking down Hutton St., turning right into Adelaide St. again. On the intersection I turn left into Creek St. again. At ANZ Centre I have to turn right on Queen St. I walk up Queen St. to the post Office. I need to buy an airmail letter. That's it - I have my airmail letter now. I will go through the pedestrian walkway under the Post Office down to Elizabeth St. I turn left on Elizabeth St. and walk down the street. At the first set of lights I go straight ahead and through the second set of lights till I get to the Costums House on Queen St. The Costums House is on my left. I am going in. Here is a restaurant. I will order some mineral water, i am thirsty. ... It is lovely sitting here and enjoying the view on Brisbane River, but I need to go now. I turn left on eagle St. and then walking down Creek St, past The Pier on to mary St. I walk up mary St. to the intersection with Albert St.. Here I turn right on Albert St. and walk up to the first set of lights, where I turn left on Charlotte St. On Charlotte St. is Telstra Historical Display Museum. I think I will go in... Oh, no, it is locked! Well, I will go in next time. I keep walking up Charlotte St. and I turn left on George St. I walk past Treasury Casino. Isn't it a beautiful building? Now here is Queen St. Mall and I will do some shopping before I go on the train. I will go to the ANZ Bank first, I need to withraw some money. Now i have money. Oh, there is a bookshop - I need to buy a birthday present for my friend. She likes books - I will go in and have a look if I can buy a book for her. ... No, I didn't buy anything. I know - I will go into Myer Centre. I am sure I will find something for my friend here. ... No, I didn't buy a present but I bought a pair of socks for myself. Ther are red and yellow. Now i am going across to the other side of the street. I am going into david Jones. Yes, I know - i will buy her some artist's paints! She loves painting. ... Now, I have a present for her, I saw a lot and I am very tired. I am walking down the mall, turning left on Edward St. and back to the Central Railway Station. here is my train - I need to go - see you latter. |
