| As you already know, we have had the chance to chat with Marta, where she has showed us that she is not only a good tennis player, she is also such an enchantress person and very nice with her fans. Marta has accepted to answer us some questions that will let us know more about her and her career. I hope you enjoy it! MartayMariajo: What are your favourite hobbies? Marta Marrero: I have always like the voleyball, when i was 10 i was in a team and we played local tournaments, but i can't practise it now. I like horses, the beach, reading, cinema and going out with friends. MYM: What is your favourite colour? MM: Green MYM: What's your number of luck? MM: The 8 MYM: What pets do you have and which one would you like to have? MM: I like dogs, the dog farmer, i would like to have one, but i can't because i have to travel. MYM: What's your favourite music? MM: Mi favourite singer is Joaquin Sabina, and i like spanish and english pop. MYM: What's your favourite movie? MM: Legends of the Fall MYM: Who are your favourite actors? MM: Harrison Ford and Julia Roberts MYM: What are your favourite T.V. programs? MM: The weakest link and Pasapalabra. MYM: What's your favourite food? MM: Arroz a la cubana,japanese food and papas arrugadas(typical food from Canary I.) MYM: What's your favourite drink? MM: Natural fruit juices. MYM: Which parfum do you use? MM: Dolce Gabanna, Jesús del pozo MYM: Out of all the cities you have been to, which one would you prefer to live? MM: Barcelona MYM: Which is your favourite flower? MM:The rose MYM: Do you have any lucky charm? MM: ..... MYM: Do you like other sports apart form tennis? MM: Voleyball; i'm beginning to practise golf. MYM: What are your hobbies when you are not in the competition? MM: I like reading, listening to music and i visit the city where i am. MYM: Which are your beauty secrets? MM: To hydrathe & solar protection. MYM: Have you found a love? MM: ..... MYM: What's the most special moment in your life that you rememeber? MM: The first day i saw my nephew and the quarters at Roland Garros (2000). MYM: What's the best memory of your career? MM: Roland garros. MYM: Do you think that your amazing exploit at Roland Garros'00 has been good or bad for your career? MM: It has been good, i believe more in my chances. MYM: What are your best memories from your years as a junior and an ITF player? MM: There was a great atmosphere, we had a lot of fun, and there wasn't any rivalry between us MYM: What has been your best win in the tour or the win you more value? MM: My wins over Arantxa Sánchez and Van Roost. MYM: What has been your worst defeat as professional, or the defeat which hurted you the most? MM: There are someone which have hurt a lot, because were matches i was leading so well and then they turned, you feel so bad. MYM: Who are your best friends on the tour? MM: Anabel Medina,Maria Jose Martinez, and Lourdes Dominguez. MYM: How do your family feel about you being a tennis player? MM: I think good, they suppourt me a lot, but i imagine they will feel a bit bad as i am far of home a lot of time. MYM: Do you have any superstition while you play? MM: .... MYM: What do you think about the un-equal prize money between the WTA and ATP? MM: I think it should be equal, less at the Grand Slams beacuse men play to the best of 5 sets and it would be unfair. MYM: Do you think Miguel Margets will forget Conchita and Arantxa one day and will give chances to the young stars? MM: We have to work more and make him more difficult the election. MYM: If you could choose... which Grand Slam would you like to win? MM: Roland Garros MYM: Do you feel pressure being clasified as the new generation of the spanish tennis? MM: I don't feel the pressure at all. MYM: What things would you improve in your game? MM: i still need to improve my stamina and physical power. MYM: Who are your best friends on the ATP tour? MM: Tommy Robredo and Didac Perez. MYM: How do you see Anabel Medina & Maria Jose Martinez in the future? MM: They will give people al ot to talk about, they are two great players who want to triumph and work. MYM: Which active player would you like to win? MM: A Serena. MYM: Which retired player would you have liked to play against? MM: Steffi Graf. MYM: Who was your idol when you were younger? MM: Mary Pierce MYM: How do you feel being one of the most popular players on the tour? MM: Fortunate MYM: What are your goals for the rest of the season?
