Martha Mae and Rich met for the first time on the set of the MMC - the All new Mickey Mouse Club - in 1994. Martha Mae was working as an assistant audience coordinator and still finishing her first degree from the University of Central Florida. Rich was property master for the show. It wasn't until after the show ended that they went on their first date.

"I was so impressed when he called and used the "D" word." Martha Mae recalls. "Usually suiters say, 'Hey, wanna go out and do something sometime?'. Rather, Mr. Swim asked if we could go out on a "Date". I knew then that it (the event) would be something special. "

It was the start of something alright. They had many great times together. They shared a love of all things pop culture and travel.

"I wasn't surprised when Martha Mae said that the one thing she always wanted to see was Graceland. Great minds . . . " Rich admitted,". . .So we made an adventure of our trip, Tupelo, Memphis and the parts in between."

That was in 1997, still too soon to say, I do.

It wasn't until 2000 and a thwarted proposal attempt in Scotland later, the two decided to get hitched.--
