Many thanks!
Many thanks for all your support and prayers during my support raising, as I have been preparing to return to Peru. I am now very close to securing all the funds that I will need for the three years in Moyobamba. Praise God for this!

Leaving date fixed!
I’ve just been able to fix my date for travelling out to Peru – on May 27th. This gives me about 5 weeks to finish off practical preparations and say farewells to family and friends before travelling to Lima.

Sending Out!

On Sunday May 19th, Trafalgar Road Baptist will be ‘‘commissioning’’ me to the work in Peru, during the 10:30 morning service. You are warmly invited to attend the service - please email me if you require directions to get to the Church.

Arriving in Lima
I’ll be staying in the capital Lima for 2 – 3 months to do language study (brushing up on Spanish grammar and pronunciation!) A local Christian family will be putting me up, and I will be visiting the work of other Latin Link missionaries, including Margaret Saunderson – who works with shantytown communities on the outskirts of Lima, and where four Churches have recently been planted. Please pray for my final preparations in England, and time of language study and orientation in Lima, before travelling to Moyobamba.

Water and Sanitation projects

Praise God that there is a Church in North Carolina (USA), which the Luke Society has contacts with, that is looking to help fund water and sanitation projects in villages around Moyobamba. Hopefully I will be able to meet up with some members of the Church (in either Lima or Moyobamba), when they visit Peru in mid-July. Please pray that this will work out.

Web site
Over the past few months I’ve put together a web site with information and photos of the work of the Water and Sanitation programme. The site will be updated with the latest news and photos of the work from Moyobamba, for supporters in the UK. The web address is: www.oocities.org/martinboneperu

Outreach in Moyobamba
This year the largest evangelical congregation in Moyobamba (Presbyterian) celebrates its’ 75th anniversary. To celebrate, the Church is undertaking a campaign to distribute a Spanish Good News bible to every home in town. Please pray for this campaign. Please also pray that additional copies may be available to distribute in the villages surrounding Moyobamba.

Thank you very much for your prayers and support, which are greatly valued and appreciated!
