Update 11 April 2009

Details:

I am a 47 year old lawyer in Denver, CO. I attended the University of Wyoming Law School, having graduated in 2005.  I graduated in May, 2000, with a BA in History from the  University of Colorado at Boulder.  Prior to that,  I served over 12 years on active duty in the Army as an Intelligence Analyst, and more than 11 years in the Reserve Components, about half of that as a Military Policeman. During my military service I have served in Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Ansbach, Germany; Fort Lewis, Washington; Tongduchon, Korea; and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While I was serving at Bragg I deployed to Haiti in 1994 for Operation Uphold Democracy, and to Zimbabwe in 1995 for a military exercise.

(Click Here for a list of units I served with, along with dates.  Were we there at the same time?)

In early 1996, I was discharged from active duty and started attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In August of 1997, after completing three semesters at UNCC, my reserve unit was mobilized in support of Operation Joint Guard, the U.S. Military mission in the Former Yugoslavia. I was deployed to Taszar Airbase in Hungary with the 805th Military Police Company.

In April of 1998, after returning from overseas, I took a short vacation to one of my favorite parts of the U.S, the Great Basin, and then moved back home to Colorado, my home state.

(Check out the Photo Galleryfor pictures from my various travels.)

In 2003 I was deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, and in 2004 I deployed to Kuwait as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, both deployments as a member of the Army National Guard. I retired at the end of 2005 as a Sergeant First Class (E-7.)

Among my interests are motorcycles, music (everything from rock to classical, country and bluegrass and folk. Some of my favorites are Neil Young, Tool, Sarah McLachlan, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Indigo Girls, Shawn Colvin, the Schankman Twins, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, the Rarely Herd, etc etc.) I love to travel in the US, especially in the Western States, and I collect old maps and atlases from the pre-interstate era.

I also enjoy natural history and art museums, and am an amateur geology buff.

I guess that's me in a nutshell (Some would say that's where I belong.)
