To the left is the Disco Ball Set that I use for my show. I use a blue color lense in the Pin Spotlight which is hooked up to a dimmer so that I can fade it in and out. I also plug the motorized disco ball into a motor dimmer so that I can control the speed that the ball spins at which can be very useful to create a variety of desired effects.
To the left now is a picture of the overall stage. In the top middle you can see the disco ball.
To the left is a close up picture of the colored disco ball with a little fog to add to the effect. The fog nicely brings out the disco ball beams in this picture and very nicely in real life.
