| Amethyst was my second major project and probably took the longest to complete (thus far). She was a double and I happened to be rubbing of her old mark while i was thinking: 'The G3's haven't come out with a unicorn yet and that really bugs me'. Inspiration struck and it didn't let me sleep at all that night.... Her horn is a seashell but i refuse to reveal how I stuck it in her head - it took FOREVER! her horn is decorated with purple glitter. The diamond shapped mark on her forehead, the mark on her rump, and the mark on her forefoot were painted with acrylic paint and dusted with glitter. She has seven false jewels on her body - three on her rump, one on her foot, and three tiny ones on her face (on the mark). I rubbed the star shines out of her eyes and replaced them with diamond shaped highlights. Yes, I also added the ribbons. This one I kept for myself although she's displayed on a shelf beside other ponies I've worked on. |
