StarCraft - strategy - 9.5/10
This game is very similar to command and conquer and Age of Empires but alot better. It is set in the future and you can play as zerg (aliens), Protoss (supreme beings) or terran (humans). It has a good story line and the multiplayer is amazing. Graphics are surprisingly good despite it's age and youll be playing on it for years. There is also the brood war expantion pack doubling the number of levels, units and buildings available. You will never come off it once you start, and it will take you ages to learn all he different combinations of strategies!

Roller Coaster Tycoon - buisness/strategy - 8/10
Although hard to get to grips with at first, once you have mastered the ideas and strategys then you will surely play this for ages. I got it 2 years ago and I am still hacking away at all of the loads different levels. On of the really good things is the 'real levels' like alton towers. They are really realistic and my brother turned oblivion pink! Some times you can just sit and muck around and have some real fun. Try picking people up and drowning them!
The only let-down is the time. Say you had to do some thing by August Year 3, and you complete it by October Year 1. You have two wait about 5 hours for thoses two years to pass which is really frustrating.
Still, it is a great game and there are quite a few good expansion packs to keep you going a life-time.

Age of Empires - History/Strategy - 8/10
This is a great stategy game sequel of the dark to imperial ages which is not only fun, but is learning too! The game starts with agood tutorial and gets quite difficult very fast. The best part is the 'Standard game' because you can choose just about every possible preference and can have loads of fun. In total with the expansion packs, there are 18 different civilisations, 67 different units, 28 buildings and 67 different technologies which makes it an infinitely replayable game.

Age of Mythology - Fantasy/Strategy - 7.5/10
Age of Mythology is a game with a brilliant single player over 32 levels with 3 difficulties. The variations of unit and building make for a very tactical game, and the graphics are mindblowing. The only let down are the custom game which basically have a 'ridiculously easy' setting and a 'riduculously hard' setting. Which is why I never play that mode, but I am always playing on the net, and I had fun playing the campaighn, therefore, I reckon this is not one of those games you play for over 3 months.
