| Do you have a child that you love and adore? If you have one you know how I feel and maybe more I get such great joy at his presence you see I know that he is a very close, reflection of me I'm taking the time to prove what he means to me He's a God given gift and I need to be A parent that gives him, love more than ample I will show him God loves him, I will set an example He will see the changes, in me through the Lord He will watch and wonder, where was this before In my daily interaction, I will be showing him joy That a father can get, from his little boy I dedicate myself to the son that I have I will raise him with love and correct him when he's bad With God as my father, I pray to emulate A nourishing love and the hope He relates Given the guidance, passed down in the scriptures I will look back on our life, though clear mental pictures I will be a model, that my son can follow I will show him what I've learned, so his life isn't hollow I know in my heart as I start fresh and new I'm teaching my son as I was supposed to do I'm teaching him with patience not being hurtful or loud Telling him I love him and that he makes me so proud I will give of my time and be there more often Showing support and love, I know it will soften His view on the role, that men face each day It's God's will in everything, he'll know that's the way Marty 1/27/1 |
