Job was a man of health, wealth and wisdom
He feared the Lord and gave Him his praise
Then Satan set out to prove that this victim
Would curse at the Lord and give up his faith

God said to Satan do what you will
But touch not the man for he is mine still
So Satan destroyed all that was so dear and so close
Poor Job lost his children, his home and his flocks

But Job stayed steadfast to the Lord and said no curse
He thanked and praised the Lord for no reason at all
Again Satan came to the Lord and was allowed to cause harm
Onto the body of Job the righteous, honest and strong

Job's wife was there she saw all his pain
She said why do you love him just curse him and die
Job would not do it he followed his faith
He prayed and he praised The Almighty God on high

Four friends were there and they each tried to explain
The reason that God would put Job through such pain
But Job held strong as he feared and praised God
He knew both trouble and goodness were sent from above

Job was rewarded after he endured all the pain
God gave him wealth and greatness more than double what was
So remember our God in your trials and tribulations
And know that He cares because he sent us salvation

We are better off then Job was so long ago
We have Jesus to save us I want you to know
When Satan comes calling I know in my heart
Through prayer and praise I'll have a new start

Through Jesus we know we will someday see
More than ever imagined more than ever believed
The glorious place that the Lord holds for us
Is waiting for you if you believe, love and trust
