Trumped up and proud I used to be
Nervous about how you perceived me
Aware of your faults I looked to myself
I was better then most I truly felt

I had put myself on a pedestal tall
Trying to age gracefully and live above all
Engrossed in myself and answering to no one you see
I just knew I would prosper and the world would be

Mine for the taking I controlled my destiny
I knew where I was going, it was to live in infamy
You know the feeling when you love yourself so much
There isn't much room for anyone else

Well the time for me it has truly changed
I see improvement but see my faults are like chains
I work on them all, through God's grace have happily found
Someone whose Love is so profound

He is the perfect man with only love in is heart
He has the keys to the chains, it is the start
Of changing my thoughts and changing my ways
Thank you Jesus, you have made my day!

Convict this heart Lord and make it true
Clean it out, make me more like You
Unlock the chains and set me free
To love everyone in my life, even me
