| I read Galatians today I read it three times You see it's a short book I pray that this all rhymes Paul was a Jew he followed Gods law He then found Christ and this is what he saw He didn't need the old ways he had salvation given free He counted on the faith for the one who hung there from the tree You see God had told Abraham this prophesy would come true All you need in these bad times is faith for God and Jesus too Paul let Peter know I mean he got right in his face For knowing of the Lords great gift salvation by His grace For Peter did the big flip flop He tried to go both ways He preached that all you need is faith and then he turned away He went back to his people and he tried to live within the law But you see Christ had already been there He had died for us all You can't live by the law for you are a natural born sinner You must have faith to enter heaven and be a real winner You must live with kindness you must also live with love You have to have it in your heart seek faith from above You don't have to offer burnt offerings you don't have to be true To the law of the Old Testament Jesus has done it all for you If you have faith in Jesus you know you're already free You can live your life right here on earth and know someday you'll be In the presence of God on high he has sworn with His Sons own blood He has given us a way out of the law It is only with faith from above Marty 1/17/1 |
