| I picture in my mind a peaceful calm The one where you feel good away from harm Forgetting your troubles and seeking the truth About life's great mysteries and about life's great fruits In the air there is calm and the breeze is so cool The sunshine that touches you makes you feel brand new A mountain so high or a lake filled with fish The desert in winter or the beach I should wish On the stream I see ripples and know through my life I've had so many times it didn't seem so bright In the snow I see sparkles of hope and of dreams There is somewhere in my mind I find all of these things The geese up above flying ever so low Squeaking and flapping you've just got to know They have come here for me and it's a beautiful sight I dream I can feel myself joining their flight It rains in there too and the earth gets so muddy I take off my shoes and yell, It's OK buddy I jump in the drops of the water so cool I get the mud between my toes and I'm not so blue I see a rainbow, multicolored and soft Then I go to the barn and play in the loft The straw it is dry and it smells so divine These are the soft spots I find in my mind I lay in the grass wonder why it's so green Have you been there my friend do you know what I mean? A bug happens by and I watch as it crawls I'm taking a vacation from these four walls I'm thinking of the world and the beauty around I didn't have to go anywhere, I never left town Taking the time to touch the sap on the trees Anything that I want, anything that I please I hear the music playing it is so in key I hear the guitar riffs the base parts and the sweet melody It pleases my ear in turn pleasing my mind It's in there you can relax and try to unwind Soaking in the thought that I've found myself I know who I am and know I've found wealth In this world that we live in there's beauty you see It just takes a mindset of perfect harmony Marty 1/22/1 |
