Writing blocks are known to all
I have one now, it's hard to recall
A thought that I had, I didn't jot it down
I had one today driving around

I couldn't find the note pad where I usually kept it
So I said to myself, I won't forget it
So I went on my way, doing my own thing
Thinking in my head, I'm no ding-a-ling

But as soon as I thought about something more pleasant
The quote slipped my mind, I can't think of it at present
The brain is always working, the thoughts go so fast
I think I need Ginkgo Biloba to remember my past

I've tried brain exercises, they are hard you see
To do the calisthenics,  I think you'll agree
Doing push-ups or sit-ups in my mind won't work
I drift off to something that doesn't make my mind hurt

If you have a plan,  to make the brain work more smooth
Give me a ring, I'll write it down so I'll never lose
Track of the lesson I learn from you
If I can just find the note pad,  it's hidden from view
