| I know what is wrong and I know what is right His word speaks to me each day and each night I listen and wait in quiet and stillness For the message that leads me in the right direction He gave us instruction we didn't take heed We instead took the fruit of one of the trees Giving up our innocence and becoming separated From the Father who loved us and gave us life The Great Decepter of all time He told us a lie We believed His word and now we must die He is still here today and His lies are still great He leads us astray only fulfilling His fate He leads us to believe that the world is our home That when we pass on through it we are all alone He knows that there was, a redemption plan made He deceives and lies and wants us in His grave There stood in the garden two trees not for man For me it is clear which one we took I have the knowledge that can Distinguish between good and evil and know in my heart The way to everlasting life was God's plan from the start There was in the garden another tree that stood And nailed to it was my Savior who is loving and good He tells us to believe on the fact that He's paid The debt for our sins and that the way has been paved To the place where we find the other tree of the garden Don't listen to Satan don't let your heart be hardened Dear Jesus He loves us and does still care Take joy in knowing the tree of everlasting life it is still there Marty 9/10/01 |
