Just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your flowers daily-as I use

FANTASTIC PAGE!!!!! I love the rotating flower wheel! Not to mention
the photo's. WOW!!! I have only just begun to take flower pictures, and
find it very enjoyable. I have always liked being out in nature, and spending
time in gardens. And one day I just happened to have my camera along and
needed to use up some film, but when I saw the pictu es I was hooked!!!
They turned out better then I could have ever imagined. I dabbel in watercolors
and have painted some of the photo's as well. One question for you, what
type of black and white film do you use?? I prefere Ilford, any hints???

Hello Marty. I your photo's are great. Iam an avid gardner growing
flowers in an area that is most difficult to go by a regimental growing
season. I am classified Zone 7, Western Garden Book,which takes in the
Roque River Valley foothill areas. Well I'm above that at levations of
3,000 feet. I primarily grow roses. I have 103 activly growing roses, 4
yrs., and 1 ,2,and 3, year potted roses. There are 56 different variety's
of Perennials growing. I worked 41 years of my life and never knew I had
a green thumb. I keep ecords of all the roses, and plant variety's. Roses
take most of my time but,maybe some of my planting technic's I can pass
on to anyone living in this area or other areas that might need some good
advice. Thanks

Hello Marty, I'm sitting here on Thanksgiving afternoon with Christina
(Deckert) Cox, my son Chris' wife. And what a lovely new addition to our
family unit Christina is. She speaks very highly of you. Christina has
just now introduced me to your website. Wow!!! Your photos, Marty, are
exquisite to say the least. I can see why they are award winning. I have
in the past searched the websites ~ many times ~ especially for flowers.
I enjoy sending them via email to friends for cheering, or just plain entertainment.
But your flower photos have absolutely captured exquisite and "detailed"
beauty. I know my friends will be surprised to see them, as well as how
you outlayed them on the page. What GREAT talent you have. And to think
that you are the one responsible for growing the flowers as well. Maybe
breathtaking is a word I want to convey. The photo of Christina's dad and
her brother atop his shoulders we chuckled at. And I loved the elderly
lady in black sitting with a pencil in her hand and writing, called the
scribe. Just wonderful. Christina and Chris said your home garden is beautiful
also to see. You, and your garden, surely left a good impression, and for
a lifetime of memories. And yes, I do see that you would have to have tender
loving care, as you said, in regards to harvest ng. I'm sure you, as well
as others, are very proud of your achievements. I'm sorry I have missed
your photos from before, since you update often. I truly hope I didn't
miss any photos of pansies, did I? Pansies are my favorite. I will keep

Dear Marty, On this Veterans Day I want to say "THANK-YOU" for your
military service in the U. S. Airforce. I also want you to know that it
was a delight to visit the beautiful website of yours full of photos. I
love the flower photos best. *smile* I spearhead a project in Lincoln,
Illinois called "Veterans for a Change" - teaching children the meaning
of the word veteran. For the past 6 years, our students have collected
"change" and donated over $11,000.00 to area veterans to help brighten
the day of veterans in VA Hospitals. In addition, we have recognized and
honored many veterans who gave unselfishly of their time and resources

I need you help. I am trying to confirm Fibonacci's theory that flower
petals are, more often than not, arranged to fit his number series. It
goes 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,and so on. (The last number in the series is found
by adding the two preceeding number together. So after 21 comes 34 because
13 + 21 = 34.) Are you familiar with this? He claims that the petals of
a majority of flowers come in 3,5,8, and so. Can you give me a reference
or a list of flowers that you know of that fit this theory? Please et me
