| Akuma is definitly the most well rounded character outta himself, Ryu, and Ken. Ryu's power, and Ken's speed make a deadly combination that is embodied by the master of the fist. Personally, I find Akuma's teleport somewhat useless. It gets you around the screen well, but it's too predictable. This guide is moderately outdated, so combos and strategies displayed may be old news to most people, but for all the rookies.... ROLL THIS UP IN A BLUNT AND PUFF. Most begining players that use Akuma, play like the old school Street Fighter 2 way, try out more combos and only use Akuma's Shoryuken (uppercut) as a add-on (combo finisher) instead of hitting an enemy who jumps near you. Akuma has a lot of air attacks (Sliding kick, fireball/super, hurricane kick/super) if you get beat on ground just use air attacks (depends what you perfer) I perfer ground combos with Akuma somewhat weak (unless launching an opponent and finishing off with a special) but he's a character who really works well when your other guys are doing their assist moves. Best assist: Expansion (Hurricane kick) While battling a large opponent: Use plenty of firepower and sneak in and get some combo's goin. If a large guy outmanuvers you.... this is not the guy you should be trying to master. While battling a small opponent: Do your best to avoid the combos against you (when lil guys start that get real annoyin an throw off your stratagy) if you can't out match them on firepower, try some counter attacks, say you got some lil guy like Mega Man doin a lotta fireballs, try gettin over them or time it right and hit em with a special, or try jumping over and attack with a sliding/hurricane kick, or even a air Mesatsu-gou-hadou, use your imagination. When close, get quick hits in because his fierce attacks are slow. While battling an average opponent: You have an air advantage and ground, most moves are as fast as all the average guys so there's nothing to worry bout, just try to avoid being thrown and also use your Shoryuken only when you finish combos. |
