| Character switch before match: During the "VS" screen the if you would like to switch your 1st character (in order from top to bottom) to the 2nd or 3rd character you press and hold their "Assist" button till the match begins. This is a very usefull trick, sometimes characters just don't match up against each other well (depending on whom you play against, or your skill with a character) and you can gain the upperhand in a match easily. |

| Play as 3 of the same characters: To enable this "Cheat" you must buy all the characters, stages, and new colors (everything you can buy) then reach Level 99. Of course, you usually reach level 99 the same time you buy everything, but it allows you to select the same character 3 times. This is strictly a console cheat, and I find it useless since it's not accomplished on the arcade. On the other hand, it can still be fun when you beat your friend(s) with the same character. |
| Attack a defeated opponent: When you win a match (defeating the last opponent) you can press the "Start" (or pause) button and continue to attack your opponent. This does not work when you beat the game, but that's expected. |
