Emulation
Well, as you can see everything kept getting deleted. I've had several MAME and PSX emulator stuff here, and also had links to all the Street Fighter and Marvel titles. I guess they considered it against some kinda policy to promote downloading of any Emulators or ROMs. However, they didn't say I couldn't suggest anything. Since I can't discuss too much about emulators, I'll discuss the rest.

I'm apparently not allowed to link anyone to a tutorial site, but I can suggest to just google a MAME and/or a PSX emulator tutorial. Most of those emulators come with pretty easy instructions.

First off, you need a computer that can handle the games. I had a craptacular computer that handled the classic arcade games fine, Windows 98 didn't have too much trouble with NES, SNES, or some of the classic arcade games. If you don't know much about computers, don't take this next paragraph too serious, I'll try to make it easy even for the computer illiterate, some can even skip to the next.

Depending on your computer, anything that has 512MB of RAM should be fine, I'd still recommend more just for a few games that have a whole lotta action going on and some decent graphics. You can check your system's processor and RAM by right clicking "My Computer" and selecting "Properties", it should show your processor MHz/GHz and RAM. If you got over a 1GHz processor and at least 512MB of RAM, you should be able to play any of those games. I would recommend a computer with 1.5GHz (or better) and over 1GB of RAM, and maybe even a decent video card. My system is pretty solid, I got that Duo Core crap, 1024MB of RAM (same as 1GB), and a solid video card (256MB NVidia 6600) that can handle the games fine, I can download and listen to music while I play whatever.

Needless to say, if you got a computer that supports Windows XP, you can watch DVD's and all that other stuff without any serious loading, any sound errors, or the video skipping, your system should be able to handle any PSX or arcade emulators without any problems. The PSX emulators tend to seem more demanding than games like the arcade version of Marvel VS Capcom.

Since I can't add links to sites that have ROMs, ISOs, or emulators, I just have a few suggestions. We'll start from the beginning.

Starting off with PSX (Playstation) games, what you need first is simple, you need the Emulator. There are several PSX emulators, which work fine with whatever games you plan on using, they're hard to find and most of the games (called ROMs, or ISOs) are large downloads. I don't know the newer PSX emulator names, but I do know that most of them try to read a disk. So the files are generally zipped or .rar files. You will need WinRar to open/extract the files, I also recommend extracting them to a specific folder, I make a new folder the name of the specifc game and extract the files there.

Now, you gotta use
Daemon tools or Alcohol 120% to make the files appear like a CD. Both Daemon tools and Alcohol 120% are programs used to 'mount' a file, even when you click on 'My Computer' you will notice another CD ROM lookin thing in there, that's what those programs do, and the emulator thinks you have the CD in your disk tray.

There are various tutorials for any PSX emulators, they'll give you step-by-step information. It's not too complicated, after you've done it one time it's easy. Just remember you need the emulator, the game, WinRar, and either Daemon tools or Alcohol 120% to mount the game.

MAME (arcade) is fairly simple, and sometimes you need extra little files within the main directory (like the NEO GEO BIOS) which are just extra little things that
should have already been included but they're usually not. You also need WinRar for the ROMs and any possible BIOS files required to run the ROMs.

If you think this is some impossible task, don't worry, there's a ton of tutorals you can simply google. This emulator stuff only takes about 20 minutes to figure out, just take your time with it.

I will give you a warning, I avoid the main websites that promote MAME, they generally don't include everything in the main program. They'll make you download everything piece by piece, luckily most of the tutorials get you past that bullshit.

Stay away from the sites that tell you to edit anything in DOS mode, just stick with a Windows version, they're much easier and I've had more problems with the DOS version, I think it's intended for Linux instead of Windows.

Once you finally get MAME all installed, and you got your extra BIOS (just basic files you toss in the main directory and sometimes the game directory) it's actually the easiest emulator you can ever have. It's also very user friendly with any gaming controllers you got plugged into your computer.

So now you might be wondering how to get any games, well, I can't help you out there. I can however suggest you look up downloading
torrents. They're apparently the new version of Napster, Kazaa, Limewire, or whatever people used to download various things. You download a torrent program like bittorrent, utorrent, azureus, or utornado, then you find a website that has torrents. The actual torrent files are nothing more than instructions for the torrent programs to download from various P2P (peer to peer) networks, which is a nice way of sharing files, just be sure to check for any complaints about any specific files.

I think I heard of some
thepiratebay and demonoid sites that might know about that stuff, and some are hard to join. So anyways, if you have any trouble just google some tutorials, this emulator stuff is simple.
