Bobby Drake and his sophmiric ways make a grand appearance after being on the shelf for most of Marvel's run with Capcom. His moves combo well, and he's got a decent keep-away game. There's lots of power in his attacks as well, but he's extremely weak. I recommend using your Ice fist often because it doubles your damage.
Best assist: Projectile (Ice Beam)
While battling a large opponent: USE EVASION! Big guys can easily kill you with specials, your defense is damn near the Servbot and you're a larger target. Keep the air assault, their ground attack is superior to yours, the only decent combos you have involve your one and only special. Use plenty of projectiles, if large guys (particularily Juggernaut) hit you with any their specials, chances are you will die, so look out for that. You'll suprised them with the Ice avalanche attack if your constantly attacking with Ice beams. If you even think they're doing a special, use your special, big guys use specials involving throwing themselves at you. The only special you have isn't that great to begin with, so only use it when you want them away from you.
While battling a small opponent: This is the only time Iceman can actually fight well and dominate. Keep at a somewhat close range and if they jump, do an Ice avalanche, otherwise the main focus is throwing them because Iceman doesn't get thrown easily. Throw with FP, then quickly dash and do an Arctic attack, the combination of that attack will kill off half of their energy.
While battling an average opponent: You can outmatch most people by using your Ice beam attacks so don't worry about that, keep a close distance, your main weapon is going to be your Ice slide (F+FK) and when they move back use your Icebeam and Ice avalanche attacks. If they start playing evasive, stick with Ice avalanche then go ahead and use your special. |
