Does anyone besides me think Mega Man X and Zero should have been in this game? Anyway, Mega Man is a fairly decent character. He's a small target that makes big holes in other people. You might say he's a few things Cyclops would like to be this time around. The Mega Buster can be used in air, and if charged, can take off plenty of hits on it's own. I recommend charging up a minimum of 10 seconds then hitting your opponent near the head and dashing in with a sweep, or if it connects hitting your opponent with a special.
Best assist: Projectile (Mega buster)
While battling a large opponent: It's simple, keep a distance and keep shootin projectiles. You have decent close range attacks, but you wanna take advantage of the fact they're big targets and most can't shoot back. Just keep shooting near your opponent's head and they won't try to jump over your projectiles. If they do a super jump, either try air attacks, or your specials. When they get close you can simply throw them, so don't be too afraid.
While battling a small opponent: You're quick enough to keep a close range, but you want them to exchange firepower with you. You have the easiest projectile that can be accessed in the air, so focus on that then sneak in a super while still using projectiles. After a while they'll resort to specials and air tactics, that's when you dash away while charging up your Mega buster, that's pretty much all you gotta do against all quick guys. Your only weakness is the corners, so avoid them, and constantly block cause it's your advantage with your projectile.
While battling an average opponent: This is where you may have some trouble, these guys can corner you easily, but you have enough speed to avoid it. Stick with the projectiles at all times and treat them like small opponents with the exception that they got a good attack range. You have to play keep away, but it's not hard to do with your firepower. A jumping opponent can avoid most of them, but you can time a special to catch them in air.
