I dig the new way they handle her ability to absorb powers. She's best used against Colossus. Whenever he does his armor move, absorb his powers. If you notice her power meter depletes a lot slower than his. With or without the ability of other characters at her disposal, she's one tough broad. Her flight abilities help her confuse the enemy if you can effectivly switch from high to low hits. She's got a lotta power, and the best part is she's not a slow character.
Best assist: Dash (Dashing assault)
While battling a large opponent: Rogue's kiss move can really piss off big guys, especially when you start it off with a headstomp. The headstomp can be countered, but if you can do it quick enough you can force them to block and quickly drain their power with the kiss. The move not only does it's damage, but you're using their own power against em. The only problem is, Rogue's moves are very predictable, you gotta trick your opponents with basic moves, and keep the fight close cause your throw (kiss) is the most annoying in the game, and obviously big guys are easy to throw.
While battling a small opponent: This is where you try not to absorb as much (only when they block) cause the lil guy are too fast, and you gotta avoid dashing often. They can get you caught up in specials easily, and you can get cornered easily, so you gotta try some air attacks. The only advantage you have is reach, the basic FP and your kiss are the only moves you should repeat, otherwise take your time. You wanna keep a mid-range attack so you can counter projectiles, and you wanna keep your opponent close enough to throw at all times so they play defensive.
While battling an average opponent: Depending on the opponent, absorbing their powers is easy, you just have to keep a close distance and if you do a lotta Head stomps, look out for anti-air attacks. Don't worry about some specials, if you get the Head stomps in really quick (Fool them using super jumps and aiming for their head) you just keep doin it till they start blocking. When they block you just power drain your opponent (During contact) I know it seems cheap but thats how her moves are. Avoid being cornered at all costs. |
