Since Marvel Superheroes, they've been trying to tone Wolverine down, this particular incarnation has been toned out. Damage is almost on the level with Servbot. This isn't a very realistic rendition of "The best there is", Damage is the only thing they've really touched. He's still got all kinds of speed, but certain combos don't connect the same. Between this and Bonerine, this would be the poorer choice, despite the versatility in specials, if you can't stay close you're in a lotta trouble. A former purist myself, I think this Wolverine is strictly for those who are down for the original, but there's no justice for adamantium.
Best assist: Dash (Drill claw)
While battling a large opponent: Face it, they're stronger than you by a lot, you gotta utilize all your speed to dash in and attempt a combo then dash out if you can't find an opening. On the bright side, you can throw easily, but it's a huge risk when a single special can pretty much kill you off. Get used to blocking and dashing cause it's the only way to survive against the big boys. The ground can be your worst enemy if you time a dash or attack wrong.
While battling a small opponent: This is your best chance, you're equal in strength and can hang with the fastest guys, you just need to keep the game in the air and close. Just use your basic moves to stay a step ahead of the fast guys, for instance, when you finish an air combo, a head stomp would get you to the ground secure and ready for any counter attack.
While battling an average opponent: Your biggest enemy is actually projectiles, especially since blocking doesn't really help. You have to keep a close game, and your dash will make up for your attack range, so keep it close and don't even give them time to think. |
