![]() Not much remains of the bus after the mutant was finished with it |
Mutant Rampages; 27 dead Spider-Man is pushed from the front pages for the first time in quite a while, as an unknown mutant goes on the rampage unprovoked. The normal folk are often accused of being narrow-minded in their views of mutants. We're told that we have to be open to the possibility that mutants aren't evil just because they are different. On the morning of September 24 2003, a unknown mutant, using what is believed to be telekinesis powers. lifted a bus off the ground and threw it on unsuspecting motorists.. The question of the day is: how should we react to this? |

"Is it fair that this Mutants live under a different set of laws that they've made for themselves? It's an outrage," responded police officer Tom Bagget. "It's a shame that these abominations against God are just simply allowed to run around killing and injuring the innocent," commented Doctor Aaron McGee. McGee works at the local hospital who treated the victims of the morning's mini-massacre. The hospital's emergency room was filled to capacity with the addition of men, women, and children suffering from cuts, burns, and broken bones. When police arrived at the scene, the cries of the those trapped in the bus could still be heard. The firemen, who arrived shortly after the police, tried valiantly to free the trapped victims. However, there was little that could be done for the lost souls, killed senselessly. The injured numbered 27, including children. It was a devastating sight. The smoke that poured off the burning vehicles rose into the sky and nearly blotted out the sun, turning the sky a dark gray color. Traffic was backed up for miles in either direction. The mutant disappeared without a trace. As we picked up the pieces and continue in our daily routines, we are left wondering: Is this world big enough, even strong enough, to hold both humans and mutants? |

X-Men
: Friends or Foes? What side are the X-Men really on? Yet another unanswered question regarding mutants. The X-Men are often seen coming to the rescue of humans all over the world. Their daily routine includes saving lives and standing up for the rights of mutants and humans alike. However, they apparently live by rules outside the law. The X-Men are vigilantes, taking the law into their own hands and dealing with offenders as they see fit. There are also rumors that their base of operations is actually "Xavier's School for the Gifted." |

Information given to me by a reliable source says that the government intends to investigate the Xavier Mansion completely. There are also rumors that the institute houses a massive arsenal. But what would be the point? There are, after all, children within the school walls. So, is the school simply a cover up for something more sinister? Are the X-Men only eitting us up to take a huge fall? These are questions that can only by answered with time. |
