Auto Accident-December 13, 2001

Expect A Miracle!

On Thursday morning, December 13, 2001, at around 9:00 am I woke up and started to get around for yet another busy day. As I began to pick out my clothes for that day, in my spirit, and angel of the Lord came to me and said, Behold, I am an angel of the Lord. Do not be afraid, for I am with you, Marvin. I then continued to get ready and at about 10:00 am I left the house. I then headed out to visit my mother at work, in order to pick up some money to go get a ‘checkup’ from the doctor. I proceeded out of the workplace parking lot. A VERY short time after leaving the parking lot, there was a very large, older, ALL METAL, heavy duty Dodge pickup truck that was headed eastbound on that particular road. I estimate he was going about 60 miles per hour. At any case, he was going at a high rate of speed. Upon approaching me, he went left of center and hit the mid section-driver's side of my ‘fiberglass’ 1995 Chevy Camaro. It destroyed my car door among other things, which I will soon go into detail about. My auto then went spinning around on the road and landed into the nearby ditch, fairly close to a phone poll. After my car came to a rest, I attempted to open my door, but it was impassible. So, I jumped out my window. While all this was going on, “Bob” ran out of a nearby business after he heard the impact of the crash. Then, Bob went into the building and shouted, “CALL 911! There’s a wreck! It’s a bad one!”. At that same time, people came running out of the buildings to see what was going on. Very shortly, we had a nice size audience and the EMS was headed down the road. I just stood there like, wow! I can’t believe this is happening. I was like, “My poor car!” In any case, I just stood there and the EMT offered to clean off the little bit of blood that was on my fingers. She recommended that I should go to the local hospital and get checked out. I was like, I feel fine! Then, they proceeded to go over to my vehicle to see what kind of damage was done. After taking a quick glance she exclaimed, “get in that ambulance! We have to check you out! You need to go to the hospital!” They asked me questions and I told them that I could have my mom, who was on the scene by now, could take me to the hospital, if necessary. So, I stayed there until the police could get my statements and then I went off to the hospital. They said that they saw no MAJOR injuries, but if I became to sore to go ahead and take Ibuprofin. Well, now you are probably wondering what kind of visible damages this auto accident caused. Below are pictures of my neck where the seatbelt bruised and scratched me and also a picture of the cuts on my hand. The pictures of the damaged car will be up very soon, but the damages are as follows: My drivers side door destroyed, console pushed up, front of radio popped off, radio pushed in, drivers side rear panel destroyed, bumper damaged, hatchback damaged, roof damaged, damages on passengers side above the rear wheel, tire and rim destroyed on drivers side rear, damages under drivers side, part of his auto stuck inside of the exterior of my car, metal bent up underneath the exterior, shocks broke, back end of auto bent/deformed (undrivable). Oh, one more thing. The few seconds and minutes before the accident, I was playing a praise/worship cd and praying/shouting and saying, “God, give me a miracle today!”. Needless to say, I think He heard my cry. Another strange thing, this entire time, there was no fear in my spirit. Even as the truck crossed the center lane, barreling towards me, I was not afraid. All Glory To God!
