Visions, Dreams, and Prophesy
In 2002, God began to move mightily in the prophetic realm in my life and in my girlfriend's life. What I mean by this is, God began to come to us in dreams and began speaking to us about other people and about future events. I started in September a 'journal' if you will of the prophetic events. Stay blessed as you read below.
September 3, 2002- In a dream, my girlfriend Mackenzie had, the following took place: There were a group of five people stuck in a cave like place. We were trying with all our might to get out. We needed to get out really bad, and we finally found an escape route [an opening]. In front of this opening were some extremely heavy boxes that we all tried moving, but could not move with our human strength. So, we all stepped back and I prayed, "Lord give us the strength to move these boxes". At that point I moved forward and moved the boxes out of the way like they were as light as a feather. We were then able to escape. The moral here is that we are to look to God for strength. Though situations may be impossible in the natural, with God all things are possible and we need to rely ON HIS STRENGTH AND NOT OUR OWN. After all, the Word of God declares it is sin to do everything on our own strength.
September 4, 2002- In a dream, I was standing on a beach. At that moment, I looked over and saw a man, who was transparent and He [Jesus Christ] began speaking to me. He began to tell me that there was an attack or war that was going to come on America. I asked Him, "Lord, what about the righteous? Are we, too going to go to waste? After all, Your word declares that you will keep those and shelter those who live continually in Your presence". Jesus then said, I have not forgotten these prayers that have gone up. I will be your rearguard and no harm will come to your tent, Marvin. The interpretation here is still somewhat foggy, but what I do know is that as long as we hold on to the promise held withing Psalm 91, God will not let us go to waste. "Tho a thousand fall to your right, and a thousand to your left, no harm will come upon your tent." So, stand on the promises of God which declare this and cling to the Lord in your time of trouble. I will also note here that it is possible that the Lord was telling me of something that will happen to the United States in the future, although I certainly hope and pray not. I will also say that when I saw the attacks coming on America, I heard a voice from the New England states declaring, "We repent of our sin Lord God" for God said He was destroying some of these coastal cities due to their refusal to repent. However, from this, God had mercy on 'certain' other parts of the country and they repented and began to serve God very fervently. In other words, I saw a great revival on the portion of America that was still 'alive and kickin'.
September 5, 2002- I went to bed this night and had a dream about being in a pretty bad earthquake. I saw the earth open up and there was some massive shaking afterwards, like tremmors. The next morning I woke up to find out that there was an earthquake less than 12 hours prior that measured a 5.6 on the richter scale, with tremors in Sicily, Rome.
September 6, 2002- I had a dream and I saw fingers playing a guitar, and the sound coming from the guitar was not the pleasant sound that a guitar player was wanting to come forth. Still, the fingers continued to play. Eventually, the right sound came forth! I asked God what this meant and He said, "When you are seeking me or seeking things that come from me, such as answers, keep pressing in. Eventually, the answers, or right sound will come forth. Keep pressing in though, keep playing that guitar!
September 7, 2002- I had a dream and I was in a very tall building and about 500 feet from this tall building was a very similar tall building. Saddam Hussein was in the other building and he was firing gas missles at the building. People began to fall over from the weapon he was using. I saw them laying on the floor dead with their eyes wide open. I continued to remain standing and at that point Saddam began to point the missles right for me. He began trying to take me out with them. I however recalled in Psalms where it talks about though they fall on my right and my left, the Lord will be my rearguard and will keep me safe. I was standing on this promise and knew as long as I did, God would keep me alive and safe. A short time after this however, when the shooting stopped, I began to doubt. I began to say, are these promises really for me? At that very moment I began to feel very weak and sickly. I then proceeded to write out my death note telling my family that I loved them, etc. The interpretation here is we need to be standing on the promises of God and believing them. As long as we do, God will honor that. However, the moment we begin to doubt, or waver in our faith [as James talks about] we begin to lose the promises of God, or shall I say, "We shall receive nothing from the Lord". It's very important here to stand on the word of God and receive all the promises [benefits] that are held therein.
