OK, well I am not really all that sure what to write about.  My birthday just passed, I suppose I could write about that.

This was the first year in my entire life that I did not get a birthday cake.  It was somewhat depressing.  Also, I talked to my mother like 3 times on my birthday before she remembered it.  That, too, was depressing.  But she made up for it by taking me out to dinner for my birthday.

I also went out the following Friday with some friends to celebrae the occasion.  They took me to Shogun, a Japanese restaurant.  It was fun.  They put a Geisha wig on me and took my picture.  I had a lot of fun.

Hmm, not too much else has been happening around here.  I suppose that shall be it for now.

Life's Photos

as the sun streams in the window
i see the pictures
yellowed and faded
they draw me in
i stare until they become blurred

a cloud hides the sun
the images clear
i see her
smiling at me from the grave

the sun filters in the window again
i blink away the sight
knowing i am loved still
Here I am at my Birthday dinner.  "I think I'm turning Japanese..."
