Performance notes:

For the most part, the melody is played entirely in 8th notes, with the exception
of measures 6, where the last two partial chords are a quarter note in duration, and
measure 14, where the descending scale run is a series of 16th notes. This peice is of
particular interest in measure 5 when played on a 7-string; the F# in the bass would be
impossible to fret on a 6-string guitar. As it is, that measure presents some fairly
challanging stretches, and the second chord is easiest to play by barring the third fret
to play the last note in the D minor arpeggio so as to reach the D two octaves above
with greater ease. Also, the bass run in measure 7 has been transposed up an octave; it
would be possible to play this by dropping the B string down to A, but unless your guitar
has a fixed bridge or is already tuned to drop-A, i wouldn't recommend this. Likewise,
the G's in measures 9-11 alternate between the pitch indicated and one octave below. For
playability's sake (and to prevent the need to detune the B string two steps down) i
transcribed them as a stationary pitch. Likewise, the G minor arpeggio in measure 12 is
an octave higher than in the original score. Finally, the descending scale run in measure
14 is easiest to play with a barred first fret- let the F in the bass ring out throughout,
and partially lift the bar to play the open G in the middle of the run. I'll post a version
of this as soon as i learn it well enough to do a competent rendition- i'm much better at
arranging than fingerpicking. Enjoy! :o)
