Well, I had a small book written here, but i deleted most of it- wanted to update it, but not THAT much, lol.

I'm a 22-year old instrumental rock guitarist, with about 7 years of playing experience. I'm currently playing with the Sheldon Six up here at Middlebury, and sitting in with the Tom Corrigan Band when I'm back in Adams. Meanwhile, I've been  writing instrumental tunes on my laptop to keep me entertained. As for big influences, Joe Satriani is at the top of the heap, although Steve Vai, John Petrucci, and Tony Macalpine are also up there, from the "guitar" world, and i'm into indian classical sarod playing, as well. Compositionally, i toy with a lot of this, but i'm also really into what Moby does. If you want to hear what the result it, go on over to the CD page.

        Enoguh about me.

As for gear, I've got a setup right now that I'm pretty happy with. I have two main guitars, a 1997 Fender American Standard Stratocaster and a 1999 Ibanez RG-7620 7-string. The strat is the one i'm really emotionally tied to. It's Inca Silver with a pearloid pickguard and Gold Lace Sensor pickups, and a graphite nut and saddles in a desperate but losing battle to keep the thing in tune under heavy whammy bar abuse. The Ibanez is  "Vampire Kiss" which is basically just a metallic burgandy. It has two Dimarzio humbuckers- a Tone Zone 7 and an Air Norton 7- and an Edge Lo-Pro 7 bridge. It sounds amazing layered against the strat. I plug them into a Mesa/Boogie Rocket-44 amplifier- all tube, loaded with 12AX7's in the preamp and EL-84's in the power amp. The thing has a massive distortion sound in the "Contour" mode, and one of the better clean channels i've ever played through (third to a Dr. Z amp a guy i know owns, can't remember the model, and a Fender Hot Rod). For effects all i really use is the amp reverb and on occasion a Crybaby wah pedal, although i usually add some delay while recording, so i'll probably buy a dedicated delay processor at some point. I also use a Johnson J-station for recording when i can't get away with a miked amp (whhich unfortunately is most of the time). Pics of the guitars can be found in the (suprise, suprise) photo section.

That's enough for now. Go somewhere else on the page, there's tons of interesting stuff here.
