Mystical Ireland

The home of my ancient soul
The Rock of Cashel (Caiseal, meaning fortress) in County Tipperary, was founded in the 4th century and was the place where High Kings, such as Brian Boru, were crowned.  It was here In the 5th century that Saint Patrick converted the leader of the Eoghanachta clan into Chrisianity.
Foulksrath Castle-a 15th Century         Norman Tower House approximately
20 miles out of  Kilkenny.
Also my "home sweet home' while        living  in Ireland!
             (yes, it WAS haunted)
The Ha' Penny bridge over the River Liffey in       Dublin.  Built in 1816 and called so because it used to cost one old  half penny to cross.
Franc got a shot of me on a typical        raining day.  I think I was walking to   the busstop to hit the hotspots of          Kilkenny...you can see Foulksrath Castle in the background.
Me ON the Rock of Cashel with an       obligatory rainbow in the background.
A "far to close to the edge to be safe"  shot of me on the Cliffs of Moher-County Clare. These magnificent cliffs rise 700 feet from the Atlantic Ocean and can become EXTREMELY     windy!  Yes, I was actually blown off my feet!
A scenic view from the top of the          Blarney Castle in County Cork.
Yes, I kissed the Blarney stone and      no I don't want to know what the          locals do to it.
