My parents have placed a lot of effort on making sure we grew up to be successful individuals in terms of morals, education, faith, culture, and values.... my hijab off to them... hmm, ok that didn't sound too funny. Let's try this again, my hats off to them =)
My father is an accountant and my mother is an editor. They came to the states a looong time ago (30+ years). Initially, they settled in Queens, New York for about 10 years. They moved to Maryland just in time for the cutest little baby to arrive (ME!). My family has been in Maryland ever since.
My brother and sister have both been blessings in my life. I could not have asked God for better siblings. Indeed, growing up and even now, they have treated me like a younger sibling should be treated - with love, compassion, care, and most of all, understanding. They have always been there for me when I needed advice (and, believe me, I sometimes need plenty of it). I am proud to call them my best friends, MashaAllah.
