My baby turtles arrived in the mail exactly one week after my birthday on a Friday. It was on Friday, August 1, 2003. Don't ask me why it has taken me 5.5 months to formulate my "turtle" thoughts on paper (or the internet in this case). The thought recently occurred to me that I need to keep a turtle journal to record any differences in them over the months and years. I will try to post pictures online as well so the differences can be seen.
One turtle remains to be named. The names are coming to me... slowly, but surely! Within the first month I knew the active one was to be named NEMO -- b/c of personality and by popular demand. The second name came to me by the 4th month -- DANYAAL (and Dani for short). My mother gave me the idea since Danyaal is one of her favorite names. I also liked it since it had a short version and since it was easy to pronounce for most people (yes, even gorays could pronounce it!). The last name is yet to come to me... perhaps by their 1st birthday with me I'll have named all 3 babies =)
