The turtles are doing fine. I keep telling myself that I have to take them to a vet sometime soon, but it keeps getting delayed. Soon, InshaAllah, soon. The bigger they get, the messier they get. If you have one turtle you are supposed to clean the water once a month (that's in addition to running a filter 24/7). I have three turtles, so that would mean I have to clean the water like every 1.5 weeks. That sounds about right, so if you are thinking of getting a turtle or two keep in mind that it will require some time and effort on your part. You have to be serious about it, and you have to be willing to take care of them. Having turtles is a wonderful experience... I love observing them! They are so much more entertaining than fish (no offense to any fish owners out there but it's the truth).
