Early Sunday morning, I managed to drive my noisy car past the cop at the AA in Elkins without being stopped to meet Dave and Linda at Shoneys parking lot in Elkins to drive to Shoneys in Charleston. When I pulled up, Linda opened her door and her Pepsi goes rolling onto the pavement. At that moment, I knew that we were going to be good friends. It was 5:30am and we were on our way to meet our mailing list West Virginia friends and go to the computer show after breakfast. |

We talked about birds, our children, where we are from, tuna balls, vinegar and alum...hehehehe....If anyone wants to hear the story on that one, will have to asked Linda or me. We did a lot of laughing.
Just think, these two love birds met on the net. Don't they make a great couple? |

We arrived early, so we sat on a bench by the door anxiously awaiting the arrival of the others. The first person through the door was Wen. She looked at me and instantly knew that I was Mary Ann. The Sugr arrived with her friend Thurl. |

Soon after, we were greated by the Radtkey family, Al, Ileana and Andee. We all shared hugs and then were escorted to our tables. Sugr got up to one of the tables. Salt, pepper and sugar packets were flying everywhere. Not to mention that one pepper shaker was broken in the scuffle. There were several waitresses drawing straws to see who was going to wait on us. The one that had the shortest straw had tears in her eyes. I think that she thought that we escaped from Weston mental hospital. Linda and I did discuss about the fact that we can dress our city friends up but we can't take them anywere. Hehehe. Just teasing with you. At least Linda and I didn't have a pants problem that day. |

We had our group shot with the camera. I hope that there eyes have gotten over all of the flashing that I did with my camera. They are a great bunch of people. We had a delicious breakfast buffet and casual talk without having to hear UH-OH or you've got mail. |

Sugr's friend, Thurl is looking a little lost since he has the wrong bill. If he only realized that he had my smaller bill in his hands he could have ran out the door after paying it. I accidently took his bill. What was that I was saying about our city friends? |

I do believe that Linda is trying to point in the direction of the little boy's room so Dave can powder his nose. |

After the breakfast was over, Wen, Al and I took a walk over to the civic center to the computer show. Dave and Linda drove over. They said that the show was a flop and they had felt sorry for me since this was my first show. But I really enjoyed myself. I got to meet people that I talk to everyday on the computer. It was nice to meet real people. And I really enjoyed the ride with Dave and Linda. Thanks for picking up this hitchhiker. I also got to see Charleston. I have never been south of Buckhannon, in West Virginia, before. All in all, I had a wonderful time. |
