Newest News...

It's official: I'm taking a break.

No, Hell has not frozen over and no, I am not "quitting" the biz. I just had to scale back on my overwhelming schedule for a bit to focus on my next big Life role.
I'm going to be a bride!

I will be marrying my wonderful fiance Brent McCrossen (founder and CEO of the music licensing firm
Audiosocket)  in New Orleans this October and I couldn't be happier or more excited!! Brent and I have been engaged for over a year now, so we're looking forward to finally making it official. But, if you know anything about Southern weddings, you know that they are big events, so I have had to take a "stage break" until November to direct my energies towards the demanding world of invitations, flowers, bridal gowns and caterers. Thank God I have so much experience as an Event Planner! I can't imagine how people try to plan a large wedding without that kind of knowledge.

However, I'm still performing when I can. I am shooting an educational film for Committee For Children in August, recording a voiceover for a GoldSim Technology Group in September and acting in a staged reading for a new play called
No One on Board Took Notice by Tommer Peterson at Freehold Theater on August 17th.

And, of course I  have not forgotten my wonderful artistic home here in Seattle at the
Washington Ensemble Theatre. We recently announced our 2009-2010 season and we are THRILLED with our projects for the upcoming year! Last season was one of our best ever and we know it's just going to get better from here. Be sure to check out our newly re-vamped website soon!

In the meantime, I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and taking some time to relax and get back in touch with the lighter side of life. After all, that's what summer is all about!

Bliss Facts:

I graduated from the
Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Washington in 2008. There, I received my MFA in Acting (Master of Fine Arts, for those of you who've never heard of an MFA).

Right now, I am based out of Seattle with frequent trips to NYC, New Orleans and LA, not including my out-of-town gigs in some of the wonderful theatres around this country. Besides acting onstage, I also do commercials, TV, voiceover and industrials (in Seattle, I am represented by
Topo Swope Talent), print modeling, promotional work, nonprofit development consulting and event planning,  and occasionally work on producing projects. At home, I spend lots of time with my wonderful fiance, my dog and my friends.

I love teaching, creating my own work and anything that makes me feel like I'm actually accomplishing something and making a difference in the world. I love anything and everything about performance- be it dancing, acting, singing, collaborating, working with all kinds of media, and just the creative communication that lies behind it all.
